The masks of Piazza San Carlo

These are the masks that adorn the walls of buildings in Piazza San Carlo, located in the Turin city center. These reliefs were chiseled in the mid-1600s, the brainchild of architect Carlo di Castellamonte, who also designed one of the buildings in the square.
After the last restoration in 2001, if you pay attention you can notice that the color is changing by the time during the day.
